The Lord of the Rings Online a fost lansat în 2007 de către Turbine, ca mai apoi să fie preluat de Standing Stone Games.

Pentru a sărbători împlinirea a 10 ani, studioul a activat evenimentul Anniversary Festival. Sunt disponibile noi questuri, portrete pentru personaje, artificii care pot fi activate în joc și altele.

The Lord of the Rings Online este un MMO Free to Play disponibil pe Steam.
