La 18 luni după apocalipsa zombie din State of Decay, armata abandonează un orășel de refugiați din America. Cei lăsați în urmă trebuie să facă orice să supraviețuiască nemorților. Aceasta este descrierea State of Decay 2 confirmat pentru Xbox One, Xbox One X și PC (Windows 10), în cadrul conferinței de presă Microsoft de la E3 2017. Va fi lansat în pimăvara anului 2018.
