House of Cards is a political drama series developed by Beau Willimon for the American streaming network Netflix. The series stars Kevin Spacey as Francis "Frank" Underwood, a ruthless politician with his eye on the top job in Washington, D.C. It is an adaptation of a previous BBC miniseries of the same name which is based on the novel by Michael Dobbs. The first season premiered on February 1, 2013.
