Dupa moartea fiicei sale, avocatul a devenit dependent de droguri, iar cariera lui a pornit pe o panta descendenta. In prezent Steven Luisi este abstinent si intentioneaza sa isi reia activitatea de avocat, acceptand un complicat caz de crima, care il determina sa se confrunte cu proprii demoni si sa caute izbavire pentru pacatele ce ii apasa constiinta.
